And maybe the last... (yup, transferes on Saturday 🆗🆒)
And I am super excited! Im finally going to have a second area! Don't get me wrong, I love my area. The people here are awesome! But, with the same area/same companion, I still feel like i'm in my training. blech.
Time for a change!
Now, this was probably the funnest week I have had!
"okay, so what happened?"
Hijole, tranquilo. (woah, chill) I will gladly tell you.
So last week, we had a change of one of our Zone Leaders, and we still don't know why. But, with the end of transfer coming up, they are trying to go on exchanges with everyone! (our district leader is doing the same.) So...... I got to be on exchanges with other Elders for 3 days! Nice, right? Yup. Tuesday, I was with Elder Cram, the ZL. Wednesday, I was with Elder Diaz, an awesome Elder in our district. Thursday, I was with Elder Priego, another awesome Elder.
Yup, that was all great. Man, I have made some great friends out here.
In other news... yup. No one came to church. So what does that mean? It means that we aren't going to baptize this transfer. Uggh. I dont know.
We go to their house to remind them the day before, we call them a few hours before, we have rides pass by their houses to pick them up, and they don't come. ahhhh.
Yes, we can learn from that.
What can we learn?! Scripture time.
1 - in 1 Nephi 10:19 it reads that those who search diligently shall find. And the misteries of God shall be made known unto them.
(hah, i would have quoted it, but i have spanish scriptures and I dont know what it says in english :))
If we search, and search and search and search, we will find. Can we merely say, "Oh, yeah i looked but didnt see any, so now im done." (my mom is not shaking here head because this is what she hears when she sends me for something.) Dont worry mom! Ive changed!
If it is something we truly want, we keep at it. Diligently.
2 - in Ether 12:27 it reads that we are given debilities, (i dont even know anymore if thats a word), so that we will turn to the Lord, and He can help us see what is wrong. We also learn in verse 6 that we dont recieve a testimony until AFTER the trial of our faith.
Friends and Family, I would hope that you might take some time this week to study these scriptures. See what more you can learn from them, and then make goals to apply what you learn.
I love you all! Happy 5 months, and i will let you know where Im at next week!
