This week was a good week. A little bit longer of a week, but good.
I would like to share with you all some things that I learned this week.
1 - In the book of Ether, we can learn in chapter 12 verse 27 that
Men are given debilities so that they will come unto Christ, and be made strong.
(that was paraphrasing, i only read it in spanish so it translates to something like that)
We have the opportunity to learn during our lives. It is one of the reasons that we are here. We are here to progress and have experiences.
ALSO, We can learn in the 130th seccion of D&C that
The same debilities that we have here, we will have in the life afterward, so that we can continue to progress.
Now, you can set goals, work on life, and get closer to Christ NOW, or you can wait until later. And we can be judged for the things that we didnt do, and still will have to work on those same debilities.
2 - As a missionary, we are litterally completely dedicated to the Lord and his work. I cant take a bite of my corn flakes without being on the Lord's errand. What that also means, is that we are constantly seeking the Spirit. If we dont have it, we can do nothing. Our efforts are vain.
So, I have learned to seek and listen to that sweet soft voice. And it is someting, that i am realizing that I cannot live without.
So many times we think that we can just sit back, go to church, read the scriptures here and there, get in a few prayers, and call it good. We can go back to live with God.
My friends, with all of the love that I have, I am here to tell you that it simply is not enough.
Though going to church, reading our scriptures, and saying our prayers are good things that we have been asked to do, It Is Not Enough.
I would like to pose a few questions for you all, and with this I end.
When was the last time that you self evaluated, set goals, and worked for them?
When was the last time that you honestly gave up some of your time and what you want to do for waht the Lord wants you to do?
When was the last time that you shared the gospel, or were a saving angel to that someone who is desperately calling out to God for help?
I hope that we can meditate those, and then ACT on the answeres that we come to.
All is well here in Aguacaliente. Growing day by day.
