Elder Scoubes in Ciudad Guadalupe Victoria, Valle de Mexicali
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSICA.
gross your 17
Well, this was a crazy week.
On tuesday we had our conference with President García! Honestly, i dont know a ton of people that i feel like are inspired of God. But every single thing that Presidente says, it just hits me with power.
In our conference, he talked a lot about the Plan of Salvation, and the Atonement. How those are two things that we have been blessed to know. And it is so true. Without the knowledge of those two things, this life would be impossible.
But it helped me to realize another thing. We can recieve forgiveness for our sins. Time and time again. BUT, we only get one shot at this life, and we need to make sure that we are on a track that is going to take us back to our Heavenly Father. Weve only got one shot, and we need to do it right.
(sorry this spanish christian music that the lady is playing in the background is getting to me lol)
but its true.
The next big event, we went to the Doctor on Thursday!! Woo!! Go cold!
Actually, its not cold here yet. In the morning it is about 85 degrees, and in the night it changes to about 40. And with such heavy temperature changes, it basically takes a toll on everyone. I included a pic of my meds so taht you can see how it has been going out here.
I had a throat infection, which changed into a sinus and ear infection.
Mom, dont worry. I am fine now. 😇
on friday we were able to have a super awesome lesson with Francisco again? Wee took one of our recent converts with us, and he gave an awesome testimony!!
To end the week, Mexico had a special conference with Elder Hales and Elder Nelson. Sadly, we lost internet. So we didnt get to see it all. But it talked a ton about our covenants with God.
Just so everyone knows i am in a place called Ciudad Guadalupe Victoria, Valle de Mexicali.
If you want you can probably look it up on google maps and virtually walk around my area. Nice.
Well, that was my week.
oh yeah, they recently changed the time here. In the u.s. we change the time so that we have more sun during the day. Here, no. I think it has something to do with they need more light earlier so that they can go to work in the onion fields earlier. Idk.
