This really was the fastest week of my whole mission.
In our area, there is a lot of work with the Less Actives. This week we were able to visit a few, including a few less active parents with kids that need to be baptized. Nice.
After those efforts, we were able to have 11 Less Actives at the Ward Conference this las week!
That was awesome.
This ward is super loving. Everyone that comes, they just grab onto. Its great.
Also, i got to meet one of the recent converts. Frank.
He is awesome. I sent a picture of the 4 sandwiches he asked me to make him... Yup.
This week we have just been meeting members, and meeting investigators and just meeting everyone. Whew.
This next week we have a ton of work to do. Ooooo and we have interviews tomorrow with
President García. Ill let you know how that goes...
The highlight of the week?
THE MEMBERS THINK IM MEXICAN.
They say that my American accent is gone, and that if they didnt look at me, just heard me, they would think i was mexican.
But really, that is no thanks to me. I have been super blessed.
In these last few days, i have been able to really look back on the things that have passed on my mission, and i was reading my journal. The Lord really is sooo merciful. I dont deserve the blessings i recieve, but He loves each of us so perfectly, that He just cant help from blessing us.
This week went super fast, and actually i have to go... we did a lot of house cleaning this morning.
I said goodbye to my home of Insurgentes. And now...
I am in ENSENADA in a ward called Valle Dorado. That place where all the cruise ships go when they come to Mexico? Yup, there.
Im with Elder Zapet, hes from Guatemala and hes been in the mission about 8 months.
Just a few stories from this last week!
My companion and I were walking, and all of a sudden everything got a little dark. We looked up, and saw about 5000 bees hovering over our heads. There was only about 2 seconds to think of what to do, and we came up with the great plan of RUN. Nothing actually happened, but that isnt something that happenes every day...
Also, we showed up at a persons house that we had talked to before, and they were telling us about their family. Then, they told us they wanted to introduce us to their daughter. She has schitzofrenia. She talked to us for a bit, and then got a little upset for im not sure why, but that was just an overall weird situation. It was just uncomfortable... 🤗
To end, we saw a little miragle on Sunday. A man showed up to church speaking pure English. The helpful ward members did what they could to help, but i talked to him and showed him around. His name is Michael. Turns out, he lost his Mom from cancer, his Dad from a heart attack, his sister from a car accident, and his brother from a heart attack. We taught about the temple and the idea of Eternal Families, and he got super interested.
Of course im not there anymore, but Elder Brown, youre welcome. 😉
This is a sum of the last week in Insurgentes.
Now, we are going to go meet a recent convert. No idea who he is, but i hear hes really cool.
I love you all! Ill have lots of stories for you next week!!!
