I said goodbye to my home of Insurgentes. And now...
I am in ENSENADA in a ward called Valle Dorado. That place where all the cruise ships go when they come to Mexico? Yup, there.
Im with Elder Zapet, hes from Guatemala and hes been in the mission about 8 months.
Just a few stories from this last week!
My companion and I were walking, and all of a sudden everything got a little dark. We looked up, and saw about 5000 bees hovering over our heads. There was only about 2 seconds to think of what to do, and we came up with the great plan of RUN. Nothing actually happened, but that isnt something that happenes every day...
Also, we showed up at a persons house that we had talked to before, and they were telling us about their family. Then, they told us they wanted to introduce us to their daughter. She has schitzofrenia. She talked to us for a bit, and then got a little upset for im not sure why, but that was just an overall weird situation. It was just uncomfortable... 🤗
To end, we saw a little miragle on Sunday. A man showed up to church speaking pure English. The helpful ward members did what they could to help, but i talked to him and showed him around. His name is Michael. Turns out, he lost his Mom from cancer, his Dad from a heart attack, his sister from a car accident, and his brother from a heart attack. We taught about the temple and the idea of Eternal Families, and he got super interested.
Of course im not there anymore, but Elder Brown, youre welcome. 😉
This is a sum of the last week in Insurgentes.
Now, we are going to go meet a recent convert. No idea who he is, but i hear hes really cool.
I love you all! Ill have lots of stories for you next week!!!
